Missing teeth are not just an aesthetic problem – they can have a negative impact on your health, self-esteem, and quality of life. Dental implants are a modern and reliable solution that restores both the aesthetics and function of natural teeth.
Dental implants are artificially created titanium bodies that replace the root of a missing natural tooth. They are placed directly into the jawbone and serve as a stable foundation for crowns, bridges, or dentures.
Made of titanium, they are highly biocompatible with the human body.
At Dentatime Clinic, we work with two types of dental implants: basal (single-piece) and classic (two-piece) implants, which are applied according to the individual needs of each patient.
Basal implants are artificial titanium roots placed in the deep (basal/cortical) parts of the bone, onto which crowns or bridges are attached. They are made of a highly fracture-resistant, biocompatible titanium alloy Ti6AL4V ELI, known as “Grade 5”.
They are distinguished by their excellent mechanical and chemical properties, providing corrosion resistance and 25% higher stability than pure titanium.

The surface of the basal implants is smooth with a specific coating that prevents bacteria from adhering and peri-implantitis from developing.
The protocol for working with these implants requires them to be loaded immediately within 3-5 days, without delay. That is why they are also called immediate basal implants with crowns for 3 days (fast, express dental implants). This way, the patient receives a fully functional solution within 3-5 days.
They are used in patients with severe bone resorption (melting) and to replace missing teeth in entire jaws.
The way basal (cortical) implants are placed and their revolutionary shape make them suitable for patients who have been denied treatment with conventional, two-piece implants (classic implants).

Classic two-piece titanium implants are artificial titanium roots placed in the spongy (middle) part of the bone, onto which crowns or bridges are attached.
The special feature of this surgical procedure is that the placement of classic implants requires a certain minimum bone volume, and many patients experience bone resorption, which necessitates bone augmentation.
This type of implant is used to replace one or a group of missing teeth. Two-piece implants require osseointegration for 3 to 6 months before crowns can be placed on them.
Immediate dental implant treatment has many more advantages than disadvantages.
The main advantages of dental implants that we offer at Dentatime implant clinic include:

Within 3-5 days, patients get a new smile and are able to eat immediately.
Immediate load implants can be placed at a large angle and thus avoid large anatomical structures (maxillary sinus, mandibular nerve canal, etc.).
Rapid dental implants are used in smokers, diabetics, and chronically ill patients, or those who have been denied implant treatment with two-piece implants.
This type of one-piece screw implant has a special smooth design and is placed in the hard, cortical bone, which is not resorbed and allows for osteofixation (very strong anchoring, fixation of the implant). In this way, it is possible to place a prosthetic structure immediately after implantation.
The trauma during the surgical intervention is much less, as the placement of this type of express (BCS) implants displaces 60% less bone compared to two-piece implants. Bone integrity and blood supply are also minimally affected.
The smooth surface of rapid dental implants prevents plaque and tartar from being retained, thus keeping the gums around the implant healthy and preventing peri-implantitis from developing.
The inflammation of the gums, which is observed before the extraction of periodontal teeth, disappears after the placement of basal implants.
Implant treatment is recommended when one or more teeth are missing. Tooth loss can occur due to gum disease (periodontitis), untreated caries, inflammation of the bone around the tooth root, trauma, etc.
According to the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) in the United States, periodontal disease is the most common cause of tooth loss.
Advanced periodontitis affects all tissues surrounding the tooth. If not treated in time, it leads to irreversible bone damage and tooth loss. Implantation is possible in cases of single or multiple tooth loss, as well as in cases of complete tooth loss in one or both jaws.
Every surgical procedure for implants at Dentatime Clinic involves several stages. The stages of basal implant placement differ from those of two-piece (classic) implants.
At Dentatime Clinic, we begin with an initial examination and consultation with a dentist, review of X-rays, computer tomography (3D) examination, and preparation of an individual treatment plan.
Then, Dr. Radoslav Simeonov, chief implantologist, determines and recommends the most appropriate method of treatment with dental implants according to the specific case. Patients receive a detailed dental treatment plan that describes all procedures, prices, and stages of treatment.
At Dentatime basal implant clinic, we take care of you using the most advanced methods and technologies in dental medicine. We use high-tech equipment and the highest quality materials for dental treatment, which allows us to offer long-lasting solutions with a guarantee.
If you already have missing teeth or teeth that cannot be treated and need to be extracted, there are several options for replacing them.
A dental bridge may also be an option when some teeth are healthy and others are missing. The bridge can be supported by the teeth adjacent to the missing tooth. Most often, dental bridges are made after devitalization (killing) and filing down the teeth designated to support the fixed structure.
They restore missing teeth in the mouth and can improve eating and aesthetics. Over time, however, a bridge supported by teeth can compromise the strength of the supporting teeth. In addition, the bone at the site of the missing tooth is not directly loaded and continued resorption is observed in this area.
Removable dentures are an inexpensive alternative to dental bridges or dental implants. They can be used for complete or partial tooth loss. Many people are unable to adapt to them and have to replace them with a more comfortable treatment option.
Others find them extremely difficult to use or even unbearable. Over time, the shape of the jaw and the contour of the gums change, and as a result, removable dentures can become loose, causing pain and discomfort when eating.
Removable dentures can be a good temporary option for patients who plan to have dental implants in the future.
Express, immediate dental implants are a long-lasting solution with a much higher success rate than other options for replacing missing teeth. Unlike dental bridges, dental implants are the most modern treatment option, providing additional support where teeth are missing without overloading the remaining natural teeth.
