Even in cases of advanced edentulism and lack of bone structure, the team at Dentatime Dental Clinic offers an implant-based solution using a specific type of implant – a fixed prosthesis supported by just 4 All-on-4 implants.

This method of prosthetics is most often recommended for patients who are edentulous and already have complete dentures. It is also suitable for patients who are due to undergo treatment with removable dentures or have contraindications for bone augmentation (bone grafting).

This type of implant treatment for completely edentulous patients is most successful when applied to the lower jaw.

A prosthesis on 4 implants is fixed (secured) using a ‘click-lock’ system onto 4 implants.

It is ‘clipped’ onto the implants using Teflon seals and metal caps located on the inside of the prosthesis, whilst the four implants are placed in the front of the jaw – in the area between the canines.

In this way, the denture is secured, i.e. its uncomfortable movement during eating and speaking is restricted, which significantly improves the denture’s optimal functionality.

Stage 1

Extraction of existing teeth (if any) and a subsequent healing period of approximately 2 weeks.

Treatment for entire jaws

A denture on 4 implants is a type of dental treatment used for patients who are completely edentulous or who are due to have all their teeth extracted.

This tooth restoration is often offered as a compromise implant procedure for patients who cannot afford treatment with conventional or basal implants.

Minimally invasive surgical technique

Treatment with a denture on 4 implants involves minimal surgical intervention. A special type of dental implant is used, designed specifically for securing dentures.

These are placed through the gum and positioned symmetrically in the area bounded by the two sinuses in the upper jaw and in the frontal region of the lower jaw between the canines.

The plastic denture, fixed onto 4 implants, is removable

A plate (plastic) denture, which is fabricated using pre-made double-layer plastic teeth based on an individual impression of the patient’s jaw. With this method of prosthetics, dental implants with a lock system (retention system) are placed in the front sections of the jaw, and the denture is secured onto them.

In this way, the denture sits more securely in the patient’s mouth whilst eating, but must be removed for cleaning at the end of the day. This conditionally removable denture represents an alternative to conventional removable dentures and provides greater stability.

This method of fixing (retaining) a removable denture onto 4 implants is a different type of treatment and does not come close to the comfort and full aesthetics of dental implants in treatment with basal implants involving the immediate placement of metal-ceramic bridges on them.

What is the price range?

The cost of fabricating and fitting a denture for one jaw is 6,000 BGN. This is a fixed-price treatment package, which is more affordable than other implant solutions because it includes a removable acrylic denture that is ‘clipped’ onto four implants.
