This method of prosthetics is most often recommended for patients who are edentulous and already have plate prostheses. It is also recommended for patients who are about to undergo treatment with removable prostheses or have contraindications for bone augmentation (bone addition).

The highest success rate for this type of implantation in completely edentulous patients is achieved when applied to the lower jaw.

A prosthesis on 4 implants is fixed (secured) with a “tick-tock button” system on 4 implants.

It is “fastened” to the implants with Teflon seals and metal caps located inside the prosthesis, and the four implants are placed in the front part of the jaw, in the area between the canine teeth.

This way, the prosthesis is fixed in place, i.e., its uncomfortable movements during eating and speaking are limited, which significantly improves the optimal functionality of the prosthesis.

Treatment for entire jaws

A prosthesis on 4 implants is a type of dental treatment that is used in patients who are completely edentulous or who are about to have all their teeth removed.

This tooth restoration is often offered as a compromise implant dental procedure for patients who cannot afford treatment with classic or basal implants.

Minimally invasive surgical technique

Treatment with a prosthesis on 4 implants involves minimal surgical intervention. A special type of dental implant is used, designed specifically for fixing prostheses.

They are placed through the gum and positioned symmetrically in the area between the two sinuses in the upper jaw and in the front of the lower jaw between the canine teeth.

The plastic denture, fixed on 4 implants, is removable

Plate (plastic) dentures, which are made with ready-made two-layer plastic teeth based on an individual impression of the patient’s jaw. With this method of prosthetics, dental implants with a lock system are placed in the front parts of the jaw and the prosthesis is fixed on them.

This way, the denture stays more stable in the patient’s mouth while eating, but it must be removed for cleaning at the end of the day. This conditionally removable prosthesis is an alternative to the familiar removable prosthesis and provides better stability.

This method of fixing (retaining) a removable denture on 4 implants is a different type of treatment and does not come close to the comfort and complete aesthetics of dental implants in the treatment with basal implants with immediate placement of metal-ceramic bridges on them.

What is the price range?

The cost of manufacturing and installing a prosthesis for one jaw is BGN 6,000. This is a package price for treatment, which is cheaper compared to other implant solutions because it includes a plastic removable prosthesis that is “fastened” to 4 implants.
